RAISING AWARENESS AROUND FRAUDULENT PHONE PORTING
The project, which includes an interactive game and educational video, aims to raise awareness around fraudulent mobile phone porting in the hope of protecting more Australians against identity and financial theft associated with this illegal behaviour.
By sharing the latest research findings on what phone porting scams are, what to look out for, steps to minimise the risk, and what to do if you become a victim, we can equip people with the knowledge and tools to recover their SIM card information and vital accounts fast to avoid the additional stress, time and costs involved should it happen to them.
